He is a member of ADA, Spear Education, Academy of General Dentistry, San Antonio Dental District Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Texas Dental Association. Dr. Alejandro Martinez obtained a Fellowship at the California Implant Institute. He also won the Opencare Patients’ Choice Award. Dr. Martinez has received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, surgical implant placement and implant restorations and dental extractions including impacted wisdom teeth.
Dr. Bobby Cortez has been practicing dentistry for fourteen years and has always been passionate about caring for people and staying at the forefront of innovation in dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2011. Upon graduation, he was honored with two distinctions awarded to only one student in his class: the Certificate of Distinction in Research and the Oral Biology Award, recognizing his dedication and contributions to oral science.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cortez has been happily married for five years and is a proud father to his son Bryce and God-daughter Alex. He enjoys spending time with his family, staying active with fitness, playing golf, and perfecting the art of Texas Barbecue.
Dr. Hector Tijerina has been practicing dentistry for over a decade and brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and strategic training to Great White Dental. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he went on to complete a master’s degree at the Texas McCombs School of Business, giving him a strong foundation in leadership, operations, and patient-centered practice management.
Dr. Tijerina is committed to understanding each patient’s individual needs. He takes time to listen, build trust, and design personalized treatment plans that align with each person’s goals, comfort level, and long-term oral health.

Dr. Sarah McMahan has been dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care to the San Antonio community since 2015. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics, she then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio.
As a general dentist, Dr. McMahan finds true fulfillment in treating patients at every stage of life. She views herself as a partner in her patients' long-term wellness and prioritizes building lasting relationships based on trust and communication. Her clinical philosophy focuses on preventive and minimally invasive care, with a particular emphasis on the critical link between oral health and overall systemic well-being.
To provide the highest level of care, Dr. McMahan has completed extensive advanced training in the oral-systemic connection, orthodontics, TMD (temporomandibular disorders), and airway-focused dentistry. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while supporting their total body health.
Outside of the office, Dr. McMahan enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

On my off days I love shopping, going out to eat at new places in San Antonio with friends and family, and traveling to fun new activities with my son.
